Information about UVA V8 Porsche conversions.

V8 Porsche? With the help of a UVA adaptation kit... it was real possibility. Called the UVA 984 by replacing the centre Porsche 2 or 4 for the 8 of V8 it transformed the pleasant 924 0r 944 into very quick road car.  Because the replacement V8 engine was all aluminium, there was no weight disadvantage. The installation was neat and looked almost factory original. No bodywork modifications were needed although UVA offered a range of styling kits.

The extent of the conversion kit was thorough and included engine/transmission bell-housing adaptor, engine mounts, clutch actuation kit, tubular exhaust manifolds and system, suspension improvements, bigger brakes, etc. All available and specially developed by UVA.
