The UVA (Unique Vehicle & Accessory) Company developed, for the period, Europe's largest range of specialist cars and car components, supplying world-wide specialist car makers, wholesalers and enthusiasts alike.

This business started in Alan's garage and grew from there.  Much to his ex-wife's consternation!! Alan also pioneered the Specialist Car Manufactures Group under the umbrella of the Society of Motor Manufacturers & Traders. Its principle was simple, to bring a standard of build quality, commercial ethics and testing procedure to the fragmented industry so that the buying public were better served.
