CONSTRUCTION INFORMATION - story page number nineteen
An unusual choice of foot pegs and possibly bordering on 'bling' but one that Alan believed suited the bike better than the boring original Benelli items. Classic bike owners are understandable about too much change to their beloved machines, this Benelli straddles classic and modern themes and lends itself more to interpretation. These chrome pegs were grafted onto the original Benelli steel mounts, the fronts also acting as rear engine mounts. Alan was unappreciative about how these pegs swiveled out of the way, realising the chrome would damage after continued usage. He opted to pocket mill the peg mount bolt holes and install plastic washers as a friction hold and prevent metal to metal damage.
