As
you might expect,
there is little fitted equipment in the bow locker, just the additional
methods of transportation where the
'Bike', bicycles and
Silver Marine RIB which is parked on its side. Other odd shaped belongings
are also stored here with ways to secure them in the event of rough weather.
The
mast hydraulically pivots 360 degrees, the cable-winch is also
electronically controlled. The mast lowering ram which also acts as a
boom, is operated by hydraulics. All are controlled by a remote hand-set
from deck or quayside.
The
bow door is hydraulically opened by two rams, pivoting up and toward the aft end. It
has a hand rail on the underside which safely assists traversing its
near full width upright position. If onboard-work on either the RIB or
bike is required, the vehicle can be raised above the door height,
allowing the door to be lowered and the vehicle placed upon it. |
